Privacy

This page explains what happens to your information when you visit this site or email us. It is written in plain language rather than legal language. Shaun O’Reilly (ABN 33 147 554 714) is a sole trader and this policy reflects how we actually operate.

The short version

We collect very little. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not set cookies, we run the LinkedIn Insight Tag so we can see whether our LinkedIn posts bring people here, and we keep an email list for people who ask to be on it. We do not sell your information to anyone.

When you visit this site

Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not use cookies, it does not fingerprint your device and it does not track you across other websites. It records page addresses, referrers, rough country-level location and general device type. None of that identifies you.

LinkedIn Insight Tag. We run the LinkedIn Insight Tag. It sets cookies through LinkedIn and tells us, in aggregate, what kinds of companies and roles visit the site, and whether people arriving from LinkedIn go on to read particular pages. LinkedIn also uses it for its own advertising purposes under its own privacy policy. You can turn this off in your LinkedIn advertising settings or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

Meta pixel. We may add a Meta (Facebook) pixel in future if we advertise there. It is not active on this site today. If we turn it on, we will update this page before we do.

Google Search Console. We use Google Search Console to see which search terms bring people to the site. It reports on search results rather than on individuals, and it does not add anything to this website.

We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not show a cookie banner, because the only cookies on this site come from the LinkedIn Insight Tag described above.

When you join our email list

If you sign up for our occasional notes, we store your email address with MailerLite, which is the service we use to send those emails. We use it to send you short notes about cash flow forecasting, financial modelling and FP&A, usually about once a month.

MailerLite records whether emails are opened and which links are clicked. We use that to work out which topics are worth writing about.

Every email has an unsubscribe link and one click removes you. You can also email hello@fpahub.com.au and we will remove you. We do not pass the list to anyone else.

When you email us

Every contact link on this site opens your email program with a subject line and two prompts. When you email us, we receive whatever you send, including your name, your email address, your signature block and anything you describe about your business.

We keep that correspondence so we have a record of what was discussed. We use it only to answer you and to carry out any work you engage us for. We do not add enquiry addresses to the email list. If you want to join the list, use the sign-up form.

Anything you tell us about your business is treated as confidential, whether or not we end up working together.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers named on this page, who process it on our behalf. We do not use your data to train any AI model.

Client information

If you engage us, information about your business is covered by the confidentiality terms in our engagement, and by any non-disclosure agreement you or your firm require. Client names do not appear on this website. Every case study here is anonymised, with the sector, rough size and situation described and the detail softened so that the client cannot be identified.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@fpahub.com.au and we will do it.

You can block cookies in your browser, which stops the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Cloudflare Web Analytics will still count the visit, because it does not use cookies or identify you.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This page describes our own practices and is not legal advice.
